Eugene H. Gillin, Of Counsel
Eugene H. Gillin serves as Of Counsel to Alexander & Pelli, LLC. He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and Suffolk University Law School. Mr. Gillin previously owned the Philadelphia firm of Harkins and Harkins. He practices primarily in the fields of estate and trust law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is a past Chair of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association and earlier served as Chair of the Section’s Tax Committee. Mr. Gillin served as a member of the Supreme Court Orphans’ Court Procedural Rules Committee and acted as Editor-in-Chief of the 2002 version of the Philadelphia Estate Practitioner Handbook, www.peph.com which is now being updated. He has been a frequent faculty member for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on courses involving Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax, and has also presented at programs on Fiduciary Accounting and Orphans’ Court Rules. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Philadelphia Bar Associations. Mr. Gillin was named Distinguished Estate Planner of the Year in 2006 by the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council.
